Springtime is a CRAZY, busy time.... Thankfully.
This post is WAY overdue.
Early this month, part of our team flew/drove to Gatlinburg, TN
Smokey Mountain Encore clogging competition.
This team practiced H-A-R-D... We're talking 2-3 nights a week, for 5 weeks.
This shot is of them at the last practice.
They are surrounding John's mom, Arlene (who came into town to help watch April for Becky and John)
Let's hear a clap for ALL grandma's that love our kids, right?
It was a whirlwind weekend, for sure.
And the crazy started on the plane, I think.
(Meredith and Sunshine.... Smiles for-skipping-school-days?
Ted and Lindsey (Ted heard the announcement for Phones OFF)?
Becky was like.... What? I don't know what you're looking at?
And then they ALL had one.... Those poor, innocent passengers.
At the Knoxville airport.... They still had a 40 mile drive to Gatlinburg.
Tennessee had no idea of what was coming.
So... Onto the shuttle they go for more craziness.
Outside the main lobby at the hotel.... A bit cooler than FL weather, I think.
A national clogging convention and competition?

Up early the next morning.... Breakfast of champions
Not too crowded up there... Where's the traffic?
So different from South Florida.
This looks suspiciously like the local Cracker Barrel
It was.... Country cooking just tastes better in the ACTUAL country, for sure.
Friday morning was loaded with workshops. The girls arrived ready to dance for hours.
No clogging convention is complete without a photo with Naomi

Holly, Sammy and Skylar had a LONG afternoon ahead.

Saturday.... A day of learning and an evening of performing.
Each group was asked to bring a fun dance to the show.
Our SFC brought part of the Elvis dance.

Sunday... A late afternoon flight home meant the group got to enjoy Gatlinburg.
